Pam, Tam & Glynis |
|
I was born Pamela Oldham. I
have 5 sisters and 1 brother. In the above photo is me, my identical twin
sister and one of my other sister's Glynis. We were raised on a farm near
Tampico, Illinois. Our town was so small, there were twelve kids in our
graduating class. There would have been ten that year but Tamela and I
graduated a year early. Besides farming 1000 acres of land, my father
kept about 50 dogs; Labradors, Brittany's, and Coondogs. These dogs
were used only for hunting and trailing. Everything we ate was either
home-grown or hunted. VERY LITTLE came from a store. We were brought up
with lots and lots of animals. We raised baby coons and foxes and rabbits
that the dogs would carry into the yard. Of course we were in charge of
caring for all of the animals. I learned how to drive tractors, plow,
disc, and harrow fields. As a summer job, we would de-tassel corn.Growing
up, I was always horse-crazy. I never asked for dolls for Christmas, always
toy horses. At a very young age, I started teaching horses to do tricks.
We had contest gaming horses which are shown in speed classes. Later
on, I trained racing Quarter horses.
